Ok~ So I'm back at it!!!!

I am going to TRY and get back into this again! I miss it totally for myself~ and the memories that I now do not have documented here~so I need to do it for that reason!! I am going to slowly try and go back to what went on between Spring Break and the end of Summer! AHHHH it is a daunting task~ but I will try!!!! Here's to BLOGGING!! :)

What a crazy, awesome decision we made on Wednesday night the 30th! We had tossed around the idea of going to Marco as the 4 of us for quite awhile as Spring Break approached~ but it was almost more of a "yeah, we could go but probably wont" and it depended on Jeff's work week. Well, then the week of~ I actually got the flu and was basically out of order! Wednesday night was when I sort of felt better and when Jeff said LET'S GO~ I packed!! It was pretty much a throw it all together~ but then again we were just going the 4 of us and all we cared about was being together and making our own memories! We needed swimsuits (and jammies for Addi- that is all she likes to wear now days) and that was about it! Thursday, I was back at school and after school we packed like crazy people and loaded the van! We were on the road at 9pm!! I remember saying to Jeff about Saugatuck area~ "This is going to be SOOOO fun!!!!" Well, I totally ate my words at around hour 21!!! We drove through the night and I even did the 12:30 am-8 shift which was fine~ but the next day was HORRIBLE! My girls never napped together so that meant I was on duty the whole time and never got sleep! I was sort of a bear~ to put it lightly! We just ran into a ton of traffic and didn't move~ which wore my girls out and for sure ME!! We were basically to Tampa and Jeff's like~ "should we turn around?" hahah!!! Well, we did finally see the Marco bridge at 10pm that night and it was glorious!! We put the girls to bed as soon as we could and crawled in bed ourselves! The next day~ week was WORTH IT ALL!!! We had such a great time! We had our own little routine and no schedules!! Every morning we woke up to blue skies and sunshine! We would have our breakfast~ change into our suits and go down to the pool! Addi and I always went right away, but Brinsley would take her morning nap and so Jeff stayed up on the balcony till she was up! We would swim, swim, swim~ and then we'd go up for lunch! The girls would usually go down for their naps~ and we could lay out on the balcony~ or I'd go for walks with Boo on the beautiful beach! Then we'd swim again till 6/630~ head up for dinner (put Addi's jammies back on) and relax till bed time! Jeff and I got to have time to ourselves and usually just went to bed on time! One night we were given a night away by 2 awesome high school girls we met down there! Addi would make friends everywhere she went~ we would walk to the pool and she'd say HI to everyone and by the end of the week everyone knew her and she could say Hi to them by name! Both our girls were water rats and that was sooooo perfect! We could be out in the sun and not even have to work at the "tan"!! :) One day we went to see the Visser family down the beach and had lunch at Tiger Tail and swam with them! One day Jeff went golfing with some of our friends who were also down there~ and I got to go to dinner with all the ladies! (I was the only one with kids under 3!!! We were the entertainment for sure!) We made most of our meals in the condo and even decided to stay to the very last possible day! We cleaned the condo~ did some swimming and baths before packing the van and taking off at 5pm on Saturday! We made it home in 22 hours! Way better than the 25 on the way down! We had such a great time~ I TOTALLY can't wait to do it again~ just the 4 of us!! Thank you VerWys family (Grandpa and Grandma Verwys~ for such an amazing place to stay to to make memories!!) We LOVE Marco!!
