Addisyn is "6" months! (now 7)

So, the one big thing I needed to do over spring break was to get Addy's 6 month pictures taken by a professional! (I am not one for sure!) But since we were away from home, I didn't make any appointments with anyone~ well, good thing because Rachel (my sister-in-law) was willing to do some pictures with me!! AND I must say, these are the best pictures ever of our little girl!! Thanks Rachel! They turned out sooooooo great!

We went to the doctor today for her 6 month appointment and shots! Addisyn weighs 18.5 pounds, is 26.5 inches long and is healthy as can be!! We are so thankful and blessed! She does need to get another ultrasound follow up in a week to check out if her cyst on her ovary is gone, but other than that, things look good!

California Visit Part 1

(The Pictures sort of go backwards! Sorry!)

For spring break this year, we were planning on just staying around town~ (last year we were planning the arrival of Addisyn- painting her room and totally getting the house together) BUT last minute(within a week and a half before) we booked great tickets out to the wonderful land of Southern California to visit Ryan, Rachel, Malachi, Abram and my little brother Rob! We left on Friday and drove to Chicago, parked the car and hopped on a plane for the 4 1/2 hour ride and made it safely to LA. Rob picked us up in the van with Malachi and we had a nice dinner at home. Jeff was "hired" to work on remodeling and rearranging their house before baby boy #3 comes into the mix. Their living room is being changed into a boys bedroom and then they will be building an addition too a bit later~ making an "apartment" in the front of the house for a family who will be living with them. Well, Rob just happens to be on Spring Break too from APU, so he was also "hired" to help! Expensive workers~ being paid by food like IN and OUT burgers!! It has been a very busy week for Ry so he hasn't gotten to help a ton, but it sure keeps the other gusy busy! We have just hung around Belflower most of the week~ except for a trip to Redlands to see my extended family and Grandma over the weekend. I also got to visit my life-long friend and college roomie Betsy Klaasen/Dykhouse and her newborn son Jack who is in the NICU, but is doing really well! He is SOOOOO tiny and precious! We haven't made it to the beach yet, but the weather has been warm and sunny~ way better than MI for sure!!! We'll see what the rest of the week holds~ we head back home early Saturday morning. I will update again soon~ with lots and lots of pics!
