1st boat ride of the summer!

We finally took the boat out and we had such a nice time! I wondered how Addy would do since she isn't into any "moving" thing for some strange reason! (much to Daddy's dismay!) But she did good since her little buddy came too! They were so excited for their life jackets while they were at home, but then not so sure about it when we got on the boat. We took the Schippers and had pizza out of the channel in a little cove. SO relaxing!

The other pictures are of some fun stuff we have been up to since Mommy is out for summer!

Memorial Day and the Start of SUMMER!

So... a lot of time again has passed since I last posted~ hmmmmmm you think life is a bit busy?? HAHA! That is an understatement! I thought for sure I was going to put myself into labor the other night and Jeff just laughs at me as the night goes on how I begin to waddle and look horribly pathetic! But anyways, SCHOOL is out for summer, our swingset project is up and running, and the TO DO list before baby is dwindling down! WOW! I am so excited, nervous, anxious, ready! One of those or all at the same time!

hot enough for the sprinkler to come out!

Memorial day was a work day at the HUIZENGA's and I loved it! We had the VerWys crew all here for the day to work on a swing set for the girls!! It was designed by hand by my amazingly talented brother in law Jeff! He created it and it is going to be one fine "swing set" when it is all done for sure!
The trees are all down!
What a fun car!

Having our Brunch
Getting it ready for the sand box part
Grandpa finishing off the baby room projects!
Dumping the sand

The start of the walls/tower
Yummy supper!
They finally came in for a bite to eat!
Working into the late night hours~ how they work best!

It was a bittersweet thing to end the year this year~ because I am losing my teaching partner and because I am losing my beloved 5th grade position! I had such an amazing year this year! It was so perfect balancing what I love to do at school with life at home being a mom and a wife. I believe next year will hold some major differences and that is a bit scary!
We are ending our small group that we have been a part of for the past 3 years~ but we are continuing on in another way! We have split up the group into 2 co-leading groups and I think we are pretty excited for where it can go from here!!
My first real official day off from school responsibilities we went downtown Holland with Amanda and Tanner. We took our new double stroller and walked around the farmers market and out to lunch! Fun times!

On Thursday we decided to do a "reunion" for all of us teachers who had babies around the same time 2 summers ago! It was fun to see all the kiddos and how they resemble/take after each of us! This is Addy's "Cheese" face!
