More Tulip Time and Mothers' Day

We ended the Tulip Time festivities with our Gebben Family! We went to their house downtown Holland~ right at the end of the parade route and had a great time! It was the coldest Saturday parade there ever was (or at least that I experienced!) but we made the most of it! Addy even wore her costume, with TONS of layers, and she loved the parade! She danced in the road for the most of it! We ate, and drank and even had a Thanksgiving meal afterward! What a day!

Mother's day was a bit different this year because BOTH our moms were out of town so we celebrated with the VerWys family without my mom! It was at Aunt Mary's and that always means fun! We had a huge lunch and then the kids went for a "tractor" ride to the pond! Addisyn is still deathly afraid of anything with a motor~ so she did not ride like the rest of the little cousins! I don't know what we need to do to get her over that fear!!?? Jeff wants so badly to have his little girl riding on the mower or quad with him! We will wait and see~ maybe he'll just have to wait for his second little girl to be more of that type!
Speaking of that little peanut! I am 33 weeks and can not believe it at all!! I had my last appointment with Dr. Siegers~ and now he is retired so I have to choose who I want to deliver my little sweet pea! She continues to move so incredibly much that I am a little freakin out that I have a CRAZY child on my hands!!! We shall see! We are also a little closer to a name! I love 1 and just need to get Jeff on board with it!! The room looks like it is coming together~ just need the wall words up, and a nice glider or chair~ then we are done!! :) So, that is life around here for at least a bit! 2 1/2 weeks of school left which is also unbelievable, sad, exciting and bittersweet!

Tulip Time Pictures

Wednesday was the day we went downtown to get some cute pictures of my little dutch girl! Her favorite little man Tanner came too! They were so stinkin cute together and clomped around in their wooden shoes!!! We had some yummy junk food too~ a lemonade, corn dog, and cotton candy to end the day! Bummed daddy couldn't join us, but maybe one more day this week??? Love livin in Holland/Zeeland! :)

18 month Pictures a "little" late!

Well, I guess it is "better late than never"!! I have not had the time to get her pictures done for her 18 months (and because of her nasty cement burn!), but here we are at just turning 20 months and I finally got them done!!! I haven't done the SEARS thing yet,(thank you Rachel Knibbe VerWys~ California was a bit too far to go this time!!!) but man I was pretty impressed with them! I had the day off today because of Tulip Time so I planned my day accordingly! We had to get up early and go to school for my Wed. morning meeting, and then came home~ played a bit and then I put her down for a nap!I got the van packed and ready with all my props and outfits I was going to take with us! Then I had to wake her up and we went to the picture place at noon! She was a HAM! SHE DID SO GOOD! She started even laying in different poses for the lady~ once she found out I had gummie bears to bribe her with!!! They took quite a few, and then we waited to choose! Totally hard! Good thing they limit you to 2/3 outfit changes cuz then it would just be that much harder! Well, here are a few... ( I couldn't figure out how to turn them the right way on a few! Sorry for the head kink!)

So, we have been doing lots around here~ life is getting busy busy again~ but when is it not?? So we are into May now and Addy is almost 20 months!

Sunday, May 2
I had such an amazing day today with my little girl and want to remember it so I am writing it all out! (you don't have to read it, it's more for a pregnant mind to remember!) After church Jeff had to go to Detroit so it was me and Addisyn all day! She did not want to take a long nap~ so we played outside the whole time. Started in the sandbox, but Addy didn't last long because she doesn't like to be dirty! Then we went out in the front to play on her gym! She figured out how to climb up the rope ladder all by herself! Wow! She really amazes me for a little peanut! Then we went for a walk down the road. She knows that she may not walk on the street unless she holds my hand, so that is how we began, but she wanted to go back and get her baby. We get the baby and we start again, but then she turns around and drags me back to get her water bottle. We start again, but then she wants to walk Cooper! So picture a cute little girl holding a pregnant mom's hand with a baby, dogleash and a waterbottle in her other hand! She was too cute! We walked and talked! I showed her how to blow dandelions~ so everyone she saw she had to do herself! After our nice walk, she did nap for 45 minutes! Yeah, not really long enough for a mommy nap!! Later we went for a ride in the van and headed out to a park near by~ had dinner and Addisyn played on the big playground with me! I had such a great time watching her excitement and joy as she discovered new things, or went down the huge slide so good, or just squealed with glee as she ran around free! She ended up in the bath tub and splashed around for a long time~ got all clean and cozy and finished the night reading lots and lots of books! I LOVE being her mommy! Thank you God for my little Addy!
