I am a sucker for CUTE clothes~ especially ones that are HAND-MADE!!! I got connected with an old friend from high school who makes the most adorable dresses (Plum Paisley)~ and bought some from her! And then I went to the craft show, and got suckered into some more cute "girly" items! (4 Kids Boutique) I must have "show me something cute and I will buy it" tatooed to my face because I do!!! :) Here are some pictures to prove it! But my little models help make it cute right?!!
We had the opportunity to help out this year with a "piece" in ARTPRIZE~ and let me tell you~ that was something pretty amazing and special to be a part of! I am not so "artsy fartsy" but being connected to a piece made it that much more cool~ and then for the piece to be a "witnessing/evangelizing" tool!!! Too cool!!
The fingers are up and standing! This is such a meaningful piece! It has so much to share~ It is called the "Decalogue" or "Invitation". I got to stand around while people came up to it and they all ask what it is! Many guess "fingers" but don't really know~ so then I got to share about how it is an invitation to be in the hand of God. Each finger represents one of the 10 commandments! When we abide by God's law then we are in His protection/ His hand. The outside of the circle is very hard/rough when we don't choose to be with God there is judgment. There is SOOO much more to it~ but that was just a part that I go to share with people! What an awesome tool for sharing the gospel!!!
look at me! I touched it and held it! Had to be brave for my kids!!
I am teaching 4th grade again part-time in the afternoons~ and there are days when I am like "this is totally what I am supposed to do and LOVE doing, and then there are those few days when I am TOTALLY overwhelmed and can't believe I am doing both!" Thankfully the good days far outnumber the bad! I do miss my 5th grade team and just that grade level~ but this year has been going well, and I do enjoy my kids! We went to the Outdoor Discovery center on a beautiful late September day! Here are a few pictures from that time!
Ok, so life sort of takes over and that is all the excuse I have! I wanted to keep up with this blog~ as a fast/convenient way to do away with scrapbooking~ and it looks like a blog is just as good as my scrapbooking!! I don't do either!!!! So, I am working on all kinds of posts just for myself~ to get it all down here~ so if it gets a bit too much~ it is not meant to be anything more than a recap for myself to show what we have been up to lately!!! (since September 13??!!) And that was leaving out a ton from August already!! :) Oh well!! That's LIFE!!
On October 2~ we went to a State game with the Huizenga family! We tailgated in a parking ramp since there was no parking anywhere else!! Then we watched the game in the rainy cold, and then hung out with Kels a little in her dorm! The girls went to a few different people~ but they were well cared for! It was a fun, yet long day away! Jeffrey can't wait to do it again! :) We had family pictures on the Brink-side that same weekend on Sunday! It turned out to be a beautiful day~ but a not so great one for this mommy! A bit much after a full day of teaching on Friday and then a full day away to the game on Saturday! Oh well, we survived!! And got some great pictures too!
